Prehistoric Passport offers a city-full of fun now 'til
September 1, 2012.

Have you picked up a free Prehistoric Passport for your child or grandchild? Please do so today. It's jam-packed with fun ways for your family to spend time together all around St. Joseph, Mich., between now and September 1, 2012! Here's how to start:

1. Pick up your free Prehistoric Passport here at the Silver Beach Center information desk. Or you may get one at the St. Joseph Today Welcome Center or one of the other five passport stops: Box Factory for the Arts, Curious Kids' Museum, Krasl Art Center, St. Joseph/Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library or The Heritage Center.
   
   You may get a passport for each child 15 years old or younger in your family, extended family or for your friends. Once your child gets stamps at all six stops, you can pick up another passport. There's no limit to the number of passports you can use between now and September 1.
2. Ride the Rotary Raptor on the Silver Beach Carousel. Ask your child to answer the following question after the ride: "Rotary Raptor" has something most dinosaurs don't have. What is it? Have your child give the answer to the Carousel operator or one of our volunteers. We will stamp your Prehistoric Passport so you can get two regular bags of popcorn free (that's a $1 value) at our concession stand. Mmmm!
3. Visit all six Prehistoric Passport stops for discounts and prizes. Have your child answer the questions at each of the other stops: Box Factory for the Arts, Curious Kids' Museum, Krasl Art Center, St. Joseph/Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library and The Heritage Center (where you can see the Ice Age Imperial exhibit with its cool dioramas featuring life-size prehistoric animals and hands-on fossil fun). Each place will stamp your child's passport and offer a discount or prize. Once the entire book is stamped, your child will receive a special packet with more prizes from all six places. Then you can get another Prehistoric Passport and start the fun again!
